Six variables that shape the budget
Two shows of the same duration can require very different means. A simple façade, one viewpoint and an abstract loop do not have the same scope as a complex building, an original narrative and several nights of operation.
- Surface dimensions, relief and colour
- Ambient light and projection distance
- Original creation, adaptation or existing content
- 2D or 3D animation, sound and narrative
- Projection power, control and infrastructure
- Number of tests, rehearsals and performances
What a serious estimate should include
A useful estimate separates concept development, content production, technical preparation and on-site operation. It also identifies what the organizer supplies and what the studio must coordinate.
PIXELYRA selects equipment and technical partners according to the project. The approach never assumes that one fixed equipment package fits every façade.
How to get an initial assessment quickly
The city, date, a few straight-on and angled photos, approximate dimensions, expected audience and an indicative budget are enough to begin. Plans or a more precise survey may be requested later.
- Photograph the façade by day and at night
- Identify a possible projector position
- Mention streetlights and nearby light sources
- Indicate the desired duration and number of performances
